Pearl did it! She went pee in the toilet tonight! Yippeeee!!!
We were giving her a bath and Jeff asked her if she wanted to go potty because she was climbing out of the tub. She ran over to the toilet, hopped on, and suddenly I heard a tinkle. It wasn't a lot but with a bonus toot afterwards everyone was cheering! Pearl seemed to get that she had actually done what she was supposed to and was pretty excited herself. We couldn't be more proud...too bad the episode 15 minutes later sort of spoiled the victory...she peed all over me! I was reading her some stories and suddenly felt really warm on my inner thighs and then I realized Pearl had peed right through her diaper. Honestly, it looked like I had peed my own pants. It was pretty funny but still, my dry-clean-only pants now have a pee stain on them. At least it will help me remember the first time Pearl went potty on the toilet. That's what being a mom is all about I guess.

I think Kay tinkled in her own pants and blamed it on Pearl. I mean how doe a 20 month old pee through the diaper.
It will be a great story for us as we tell it to Pearl when she is older.
yay! That has got to feel great that she went in the toilet! Not so great about your lap, but at least it is a start!
Yay! for Pearl. Tell her to tell Gabby how to do that. Gabby only wants to watch us go! HA HA
Hooray! I remember the pee and umm...other stuff left on me. Hopefully i still have a little while before Gun wants to jump into that. He does like to pretend when any of us go. We'll see, but I'm hoping we have a little while.
Yippee!! That's BIG news!! Sorry about the pants, though...
As for your recap post...isn't it fun to get together with the girls. Ahhh, good times, good times. I also love the throw pillows. You gotta love a good deal, too. They totally bring out the colors in your painting. Good job!!
Congrats!! We are potty training too! It is seriously the longest process...at least Pearl is interested now. Talia will be three in a couple of weeks and she is just now deciding to give it a try! Good luck!!
Wow! What an amazing accomplishment! She is such a smart little girl - and kudos to her amazing parents for getting her started so early. Got any pointers for McKinley?
