All aboard! Hop on board the animal train, come on everyone. Learning about animals, is really lots of fun. Colors, sizes, what they say, if they're fast or slow. Learning about animals, there's so much to know. Choo Choo!
...thoughts on raising two pip-squeaks, an 80+ lb. puppy, and an Aggie-crazed husband...

We had an unexpected call last Saturday from our good friends the Thanadabouts (Lam, Rachel, Kylee, and Keenan) who were visiting from Arizona. Lam had an interview at Logan Regional Hospital - he's a doctor (I'm still jealous that Rachel married a doctor but hey accountants are good too). I grew up with Rachel and have known her since middle school. They are always so great about calling when they are in town and coming by to say hi. The last time I saw Rachel was when Pearl was about a month old and Rachel was just barely pregnant so it's fun to see their latest addition, Keenan. He was just three weeks old in these pictures! I can barely remember what it was like to hold Pearl when she was that little.
encouragement of Jeff). I thought I would post a picture of Pearl laying on top of the wagon. It's quite cute I think and everyone was totally jealous that she had the biggest present of all. Jeff couldn't wait to put it together and it sat in the garage for several weeks because it was too cold to take outside.
Well, it finally warmed up enough for us to take Pearl on her first wagon ride the other day. She loved it, despite her gloomy look in the pictures. Pearl always seems to do that in pictures - one minute she is happy as can be, smiling and laughing but then as soon as she sees the camera she gets these big, buggy eyes and goes tight lipped. Oh well.
March Madness that is! Yep, it's that time once again when Jeff rotates from the couch to the love seat doing nothing but watching college basketball games and checking his bracket to see how he's done in projecting the NCAA tournament winner. I must admit I enjoy a good rivalry in filling out my own bracket and seeing how much joy these few weeks a year bring to him. We spent tonight filling out our brackets (even Pearl has a bracket that Jeff helped fill out) and debating over this year's prize for whoever picks the most winning teams...a new pair of shoes. If you know Jeff well, you know that he LOVES shoes so this is a fitting prize for the winner. Too bad I'm going to beat him! I picked George Town, Pearl picked UCLA and Jeff picked UNC, but he says he's been debating this decision. We'll keep you updated on who's bracket is doing better as the weeks progress.
Since we're blogging about basketball, I couldn't help but post some pictures of Pearl. We took these at her first USU Basketball game in November. I can't believe how much she has grown since these pictures were taken. Jeff was so proud! I think this was one of his most happy days being a dad, taking his daughter to her first Aggie game. He even bought the whole family mathcing tee-shirts.
