Basketballs, tennis balls, soccer balls, lacrosse balls (and the big sticks), his balls, footballs.
All kinds of balls.
There must be something about the Y chromosome in the male species that has an inherent attraction to bouncy things you can hit, throw, or kick. And in this little Y chromosome's case, a small inkling to dabble in the occasion ballerina butterfly clothing or wearing high heels.
Cole begged - BEGGED - his Dad to play "faa-ball" tonight. He giggled and squealed with delight with each and every throw. You'll see in the pictures, Fern has a great athletic stance. Legs spread shoulder width apart, knees bent, and a good squat. And his facial expressions can't be beat either!
Getting ready to catch the ball. Cole got mad if Jeff moved closer. He liked the "go long" ball.
I sure hope Cole hasn't inherited his Dad's shoulders. Otherwise his classic side arm throw is going to hurt and ruin his ball career.
Cole loves to yell, "huh, huh, hi" before he throws the ball to you.
I'm seeing championship trophies right now.
At this point, I am laying flat on my back trying to get a different angle for a picture. Cole decided it would be more fun to start throwing the ball at me.
I have no idea why the frowny face. But it was quickly followed by giggles. Gotta love the sloppy joes and boogers all over his face.
Pearl wanted in on the fun too. She can't stand not having Jeff's attention. When she realized this was a serious football game, she bailed.
What a picture-perfect summer evening. Minus the fevers both kids have had all day.
