Fern's new trickerations

In the last week Cole has learned a slew of new trickerations.

Like blowing kisses.

Waving bye. It sort of looks like he's just hitting an imaginary table but trust me, he's waving bye-bye.

And clapping. He finds it exciting to have everyone clap for him, regardless of whether he's done anything or not. Every time Jeff tells Fern to say bye or blow him a kiss, Cole claps and smiles.

He's also pretty dang close to figuring out how to walk. But that's a post for another day... I have video proof.

Oh, and as of tonight, he's learned how to fake laugh and fake cry. It's hilarious!

You really didn't expect me to not post any pictures of Cole, did you? With yesterday's attempt at spring pictures a flop, and Pearl staying with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days, Cole and I took a walk around the neighborhood after lunch. Fern clapped and clapped throughout our walk. And he was a pretty good sport about it too, considering he was more interested in eating the rocks on the sidewalk than looking at me or smiling.
Although I did get him to finally clap when a big truck drove by.Gosh, he's gorgeous.

The accused

I'm not really sure who's to blame for this crime.Could it be this innocent face who only moments before was rummaging through her dress up box looking for the perfect Cinderella ensemble? And who had gone potty at some point prior to when the crime took place. She did yell for help though when the toilet paper roll spilled to the floor the first time.Or this little guy who seconds previous to the discovery of said crime, had managed to drag not one but two brooms out of an obscure corner of the house and into the kitchen? Not to mention terrorizing suspect #1 above by chasing her around her own room, pulling books off her bookshelf, and throwing bowls and cups across the kitchen floor.Or might it be the ringmaster of this circus? Ok, so he wasn't home yet.The accused stand guilty until proven innocent. Or is it innocent until proven guilty? I forget.
