British Invasion {Bear World}

So, we pretty much worked took the entire month of July off. Pearl went to art camp in Logan for two full weeks, we celebrated our 12th anniversary by taking the boy up to Logan to stay with his sister {while we stayed home, slept in, and cleaned out the storage room... thrilling I know}, went to Bear Lake, and then we hit the road with the British Invasion.

First stop on our road trip? {After much grumbling by myself and Jeff because we had to drag our kids out the door by 7 a.m. to hit the road.} Yellowstone Bear World in Rexburg, ID.

Now, had this been just us, we'd have never paid the $80 admission fee to get. But when family comes across the pond, we'll gladly take them up on the offer. 

We saw mountain goats {which are hard to find in Yellowstone}, bison, the famous white elk {he was beautiful!} and a few of his offspring, deer, a wolf, black bears, grizzlies, and one Mr. Moose. 

I wish you could stop and watch the bears longer, but with the line of cars behind you - and probably the inherent dangers of having bears just wandering up to your cars - you have to keep moving. These two grizzlies were playing in the water.

There were a lot of black bears wandering around.

After driving through the animal enclosures, we hit the cheap carnie rides for the kids, the petting zoo, and watched the animal handlers feed the baby bears.

We all enjoyed Bear World a lot more than we thought we would. Of course, we should have probably gone to it after driving through Yellowstone in case we didn't see any of the animals in the park.
